Special achievements of the Department:

GESTOCON – CME conducted twice at GTVMCH, OG department in 2018 and 2019.

In 2019- Blood bank training for Medical officers of Tiruvannamalai district was conducted in conjunction with blood bank of GTVMCH and OG department.

In May 2022 – CME conducted by Tiruvannamalai OG Society in conjunction with GTVMCH.

On 11th July 2022 – World population day celebrated at GTVMCH

CRM visit preparation made and successfully completed the visit on 9th November 2022.

LaQshya national assessment conducted on

  • Training for Medical officers of Cheyyar and Tiruvannamalai HUD regarding CAC (comprehensive abortion care) services.
  • Laparoscopic tubal ligation training for OGcians all over the district.
  • Puerperal  sterilization training for Medical officers and OT staffs.
